Just want to thank wonderful Baldylocks for helping me with my blog...Having a great friend who is kind and compassionate is so helpful in overcoming this fight with tinnitus. As I have said before, it is really important to not have stress. Peace and serenity definitely keep the noise down. I am very grateful for my friendships....its really cool to be able to check-in and share how you are feeling with someone who can relate.

Today was a beautiful day! Lots of serenity....

:) :) :)

  1. Denise-- Thanks for creating this blog. I'll come back to it on a regular basis, eager to hear about your experiences, and also to read what others contribute in the Comment section. The onset of my tinnitus was totally unexpected, 13 months ago, following something called Sudden Serioneural Hearing Loss, which is fairly rare. Most of my hearing has since returned, but the tinnitus remains. The intensity and duration changes all the time. But I have found that an extremely low-sodium diet helps minimize the noises. Also, it seems, smaller meals. And, of course, peace and calm, as you have addressed. One prescription drug -- Topamax --briefly eradicated the tinnitus altogether, but the side effects were brutal, so I cannot recommend this treatment to others. Again, this is a comparatively new experience for me, so I shall stay tuned to you and your readers for whatever recommendations are to be shared here. Thanks for taking the time. -Cable N., Florida
